His 75 is built for accountability, not surveillance. The current app does not use advertising tracking. We do not sell personal information, run third-party advertising, or use your app activity to track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
1. Who we are
His 75 is operated by Frederick James Dev Limited (company number 17198937). We are the controller of personal data described in this policy. Contact us at freya@frederickjames.net.
This policy covers the His 75 iOS app, this website and support communications. It explains what we collect, why we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you.
2. Data we collect
Information you provide
- Profile and challenge data: your name, age, goals, selected challenge, daily tasks, start date and optional profile details such as a photo, city, bio, interests, social handles and activities. If you choose a city, the app stores city-level coordinates rounded to two decimal places rather than precise device location.
- Progress data: task completions, habit logs, challenge history and optional proof photos.
- Social content: friend and tribe connections, messages, invitations, blocks, reports and content you choose to share with other users.
- Support data: your email address and anything you include when contacting us.
Information collected automatically
- App and device data: a randomly generated installation/account identifier, a randomly generated account secret held in the iOS Keychain, platform, app version and basic technical logs needed to authenticate requests, operate, secure and troubleshoot the service.
- Subscription data: an anonymous subscriber identifier, product, entitlement and transaction status supplied by Apple and RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details.
- Network data: service providers may process IP addresses and request metadata when your device connects to the app or website.
Apple App Privacy categories
For Apple App Privacy disclosure purposes, the current app may collect the categories below depending on the features you use. All of these categories are linked to you through your installation/account identifier, device, profile or subscription record. None of them is used for tracking.
His 75 does not link this information with data from other companies’ apps, websites or offline properties for targeted advertising or advertising measurement, and does not share it with data brokers.
Device permissions
Camera use is optional and supports profile photos and daily proof photos. The app requests camera permission contextually only after you explicitly select “Take Photo”. You can change camera access in iOS Settings. Choosing an existing image uses Apple’s PhotosPicker, which shares only the photo you explicitly select and does not give His 75 broad access to your photo library.
His 75 does not request precise device-location access. Any location shown in the app comes from city information you choose yourself and is stored as coarse coordinates rounded to two decimal places.
Photo processing and consent
Before a selected or captured photo is uploaded, the app displays a dedicated consent sheet explaining that the image will be stored privately using Cloudflare R2 and processed by OpenAI’s API for automated safety moderation. The sheet links to this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service and lets you choose “Agree and continue” or “Not now”.
You can withdraw photo-processing consent under Profile → Permissions. Withdrawing consent prevents queued uploads and future photo uploads from resuming unless you consent again. Other challenge features can still be used without uploading a photo.
Before upload, the app normalises the image, re-renders it to remove source metadata and limits the upload to 10 MB. Moderation is fail-closed: if OpenAI moderation rejects the image, fails or is unavailable, the image is not published or shared through the service.
Website data
This website does not use analytics, advertising trackers or non-essential cookies. Our hosting provider may keep ordinary server logs, including IP address, browser type, requested page and time, for delivery, reliability and security.
3. How and why we use data
Image moderation may automatically flag or reject an upload that appears unsafe or prohibited. If moderation fails or is unavailable, the image is not published. It does not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. You can ask us to review a moderation issue by email.
5. How long we keep data
- Profile, challenge, social and progress records are generally kept while your account is active. Using Profile → Delete Account removes the account’s Convex records and associated images held in Cloudflare R2. Limited records may be retained where required by law, and provider-held backups may take additional time to cycle out securely.
- Remote proof/challenge images are configured for automatic deletion after approximately 24 hours. Superseded profile images are queued for periodic deletion; your current profile image remains until it is replaced or your account is deleted. Copies stored locally on your device remain until you remove them or clear the app’s data.
- Moderation results, reports and security records may be retained for as long as reasonably needed to prevent abuse, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations.
- Support correspondence and transaction records are kept only as long as needed for support, accounting, tax, dispute and compliance purposes.
When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it. Provider-held backups may take additional time to cycle out securely.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data, including encrypted network connections, restricted service credentials, private image storage and time-limited upload/download links. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and rights
You can edit profile information in the app, control camera access in iOS Settings, withdraw photo-processing consent from Profile → Permissions, manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple, and delete app account data from Profile → Delete Account.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent. You also have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email us to exercise a right; we may need to verify your request.
If you are in the UK, you may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. If you are elsewhere, you may contact your local data protection authority.
8. Age limit
His 75 is not intended for children under 13, and children under 13 must not use the service or provide personal data to us. Users aged 13–17 must have permission from a parent or guardian where required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided data, contact us so we can investigate and delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product, providers or law changes. We will publish the revised date here and, where a change is material, provide an appropriate notice in the app or through another reasonable channel.
